Steph is the co-founder of Mala Yoga — a fun, no-judgment community studio in Brooklyn catering to people of all shapes and sizes. She is also the founder of The Run Studio, an innovative, first-of-its-kind program designed entirely for runners of all abilities.
Steph is an E-RYT 200 certified yoga instructor with 18 years of teaching experience and self-confessed “anatomy nerd.” She is revered, among those in the know, for her ability to pinpoint what’s going on with your body — what’s causing that pain in your hip or that tightness in your psoas.
Warm and welcoming, passionate and personal, funny and full of life, she not only remembers your name, she remembers your injury history and the unique way your body moves. She is the one yoga teacher you will never forget.
Steph is also an RRCA running coach with 5 years of experience coaching runners in all road-race distances. She engineered the groundbreaking Yoga for Runners program, which countless runners have credited with saving and furthering their running careers. She is zealous about helping you run faster, get stronger, and stay injury-free.
Among her more than 50 races, Steph is a four-time marathon finisher, and has run more half-marathons than she can remember. Steph won her age group in the Hot Cider Hustle 5K in November 2018, and has finished in the top-3 for her age group multiple times times in recent NYRR races.

Brandon ran varsity for his cross country/track teams in high school, then took a 20-year hiatus before rediscovering his passion for running as a master’s athlete, with the following PR’s:

Our resident run nerd, Brandon is devoted to the science of running, and its practical application to your running. He specializes in training design, gait analysis, race tactics, and athlete psychology. His innovative workouts will get you faster while keeping your training fresh and fun. Most important, Brandon understands firsthand what it’s like to be an adult beginner, and he is deeply committed to creating a community where all runners feel welcome.
Brandon is an Emmy Award-winning television promotions manager with more than 20 years experience in the field.
